We have acquired 12 beautiful acres at the foothills of the North Cascades!

The Vivaculture Institute is committed to experimenting with permaculture and indigenous land stewardship on specific land. We intend to obtain land to put into trust to be protected from development and speculation. The land will be cared for using specific practices that will promote the long term ecological health of the land and inhabitants.  We aspire to use techniques that optimize species diversity and mimic natural systems while locally providing human food and needs.

Land in trust may be used to house a small community, teaching facilities and elder care living. It will also protect part of the land as wilderness, where humans may interact but not dominate the natural cycles.  We aspire to explore permaculture techniques, starting with protracted and thoughtful observation so all activities on the land will consider other species and natural patterns and qualities of the specific place. We strive to regenerate land that has been harmed.
